The Grace for Writing
In August 2019, Sylvanus Godspower had a deep burden to seek the face of the Lord. In response to this divine awareness, he separated himself the following month from every activity that might distract him, focusing his entire attention on God. For three consecutive months, he fasted, prayed, and restricted his movements to enjoy the rich presence of God. During this period of separation, Sylvanus encountered the Lord, who commissioned him to write books.
"Alas! How can this be?" he questioned. In his own eyes, his knowledge of God's word, his understanding of both natural and spiritual affairs, and his wisdom in handling complex issues were very limited. Considering his age and experiences, he disqualified himself. In view of his financial status and his perceived inability to market his work to a wide readership, he felt entirely unfit for the task.
As he carefully pondered these challenges, fearing he was attempting the impossible, another significant hurdle struck him. It was the greatest of all his fears: his limited educational background. Like Moses in Exodus 4:13, Sylvanus Godspower asked the Lord to send someone else, feeling truly unqualified. Although he made several attempts to evade this divine assignment, the mighty hand of God would not let him go.
The Lord, in the abundance of His mercy, encouraged him in many ways. Yet, Sylvanus remained hesitant, complaining of his inability to express himself in writing since he was only a basic school graduate. Soon afterwards, Sylvanus encountered the Lord even more deeply. In a vision, an angel of the Lord taught him the gospel in English for three consecutive days. Immediately following that experience, the Lord has set before him an open door for writing.
