God's Power Gospel Books Printing Service (LBG) has successfully completed the first phase of the Portuguese Translation Project, translating five books into the Portuguese language.
God's Power Gospel Books Printing Service, with the mandate to produce and distribute free, affordable, and spiritually rich Christian literature that empowers missionaries, young people, and rural communities, has embarked on several translation projects to ensure that rich gospel materials are available in the most spoken languages in the world. The institution, poised to fill the significant gap in the availability of free and spiritually rich Christian literature that enables missionaries in the Portuguese-speaking countries to effectively disciple new converts, has started the Portuguese Translation Project in October 2024.
This work is led by Mr. Leandro Scaldaferri, a Brazilian Pastor, and one other missionary from Angola. The Lord divinely brought these brothers on board and has them labouring with the institution to translate the publications into Portuguese for the expansion of the Kingdom in Portuguese-speaking countries.
Mr Leandro Scaldaferri is a Brazilian Pastor, a teacher, and an Interpreter. Having an excellent command over both languages, he serves as an Interpreter to foreign English missionaries in their crusades across Brazil. Possessing these profound potentials, he is a suitable instrument God can use for the effectiveness of the Portuguese project.
These brothers had completed the first phase of the Portuguese Translation Project in April 2025, translating five books into the Portuguese language. The books are:
1. Becoming a Member of the Church, a full-size book that unveils the four major steps in obtaining genuine salvation.
2. The Believers' Fellowship, a full size book that teaches the believers how to have healthy fellowship for their growth and spiritual maturity.
3. Reading the Bible, a pocket-size booklet that teaches the importance of the word in the growth of believers.
4. Receiving the Testimony, a pocket-size booklet that explains why man must accept the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and the outcome of man's rejection of the gospel.
5. The Genesis of Sin and Christ's Redemption, a pocket-size booklet that discusses the origin of sin, how sin entered man, and the redemptive work of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We give God the glory for this great work. We would like to state that the translation work was done with all diligence and carefulness in the spirit of prayer to provide the right rendering of the original text into the Portuguese language while maintaining the accuracy and the spirituality of the English source.
It is our prayer that the Lord, through these translated materials, will supply life to millions of souls in all the Portuguese-speaking countries across the world.
